چکیده

the neo- classical school on the situation of the individual and claims that individuals (consumers and producers) meet each in the market. on the supply side, there exists possibility of substitution between factors of production and, on the demand side, substitution by consumers between final goods. in the neo- classical production function capital and labor are taken as the determniants of the level of production and income distribution between wage earners and profit (interest) receivers. the traditional concept is that it consists of produced means of production. but such a concept is not seen in the neo-classical production function. because in the neo- classical production function capital is taken as given. and therefore, no mention is made to the productive sector producing goods. certainly, if capital is not assumed as given, the analysis of the neo-classical school on production function would face serious problems of time lag and non- linear relation of wage- profit (interest). on the other hands, taking capital as a sum of value would necessitate o find a unit of estimation independent of relative prices and income distribution between wage earners and profit (interest) recelvers. it is, however, impossible to concelve physical capital independent of wages and profit (interest).

A Neo-Classical Benchmark Economy

In these notes, we discuss a dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) economy with complete markets. This model serves as a useful benchmark and point of departure for many questions in macroeconomics. It also serves as a simple first pass at a positive model of business cycles or asset pricing in closedand open-economy contexts. You should familiarize yourself with all the salient feature...

A brief discussion on Gauge Theories

First, we will briefly discuss some points about gauge theories and then derive the form that gauge theories must take. The discussion will probably be easier to understand once you read Section (2.2) onwards. So, what’s the big deal with gauge theories all about? Well, gauge theories appear to describe three of the four fundamental forces of nature pretty well. Those three forces are electroma...

Viability, Economic Transition and Reflections on Neo-classical Economics

Many transition policies, based on neoclassical economics, failed in Eastern Europe, Former Soviet Union, and China. The paper argues that the failure is due to the viability assumption of the neoclassical economics. The neoclassical economics implicitly assumes a firm to be able to earn a socially acceptable profit in an open, competitive market if the firm has a normal management. However, ma...

Neo - Classical Minimax Problems , Thresholding , and Adaptation

We study the problem of estimating from data Y N( ; ) under squared-error loss. We de ne three new scalar minimax problems in which the risk is weighted by the size of . Simple thresholding gives asymptotically minimax estimates of all three problems. We indicate the relationships of the new problems to each other and to two other neo-classical problems: the problems of the bounded normal mean ...
